A New Era of Digital Innovation

Experience Builder isn’t just another tool — it’s a game-changer. By reducing the pass creation process from weeks to hours, we’ve enabled our partners to innovate at record speed.

The result?

A surge of new, highly engaging digital passes that are more creative, timely, and effective. Our partners are leveraging Experience Builder to craft experiences that captivate and engage their audiences, marking a significant leap forward in the digital pass industry.

The Proof is in the Numbers

In just two weeks, we’ve seen an overwhelming response from our partners. From creating interactive check-in challenges to efficiently managing locations and prizes, there’s been some impressive engagement!

Discover Oshkosh built – and launched – a pass within just 48 hours of Experience Builder going live. Their Craft Pass is now up and running on their website, proving how easy it is to get passes launched. Congrats to our very first Experience Builder customer!

Charlotte built and launched a Pride Pass in Experience Builder that highlighted different Pride events in the area. The pass was only live for 10 days, and in that short time, they saw over…

  • 110 prizes claimed
  • 1,000 sign ups
  • 480 check-ins

Almost 300 people have logged in since the launch of Experience Builder, and out of those, there are 34 passes built or in the process of being built.

New Feature Spotlight

The innovation doesn’t stop there. Not only is Experience Builder a major update on its own, we’ve also got a lot of new features we’re thrilled to share.

Pass Templates

One of the key features of Experience Builder is the introduction of Pass Templates — a recipe-driven approach to building the most popular passes that our clients have created with us over the years. The pass templates now available in Experience Builder include:

  • Free Savings Pass: A pass that offers users access to exclusive discounts and promotions at participating local businesses, driving foot traffic without requiring any upfront payment.
  • Gamified Pass: An interactive pass designed to encourage exploration and engagement by rewarding users with points to be used towards prizes as they visit various locations or complete specific activities.
  • Gamified Quiz Check-In Pass: A pass that combines location-based check-ins with quiz-style questions, where users can test their knowledge and earn points as they visit participating venues.
  • Paid Attractions Pass: A paid pass that grants users access to a curated selection of popular local attractions, offering them the convenience of bundled experiences at a discounted rate.
  • Paid Savings Pass: A premium pass that offers users the ability to purchase exclusive high-value discounts and offers for a variety of businesses.
  • Paid Tasting Pass: A pass designed for food and beverage lovers, granting users prepaid access to tastings at participating restaurants, breweries, wineries, cafes, pizzerias, or even food trucks!
  • Restaurant Week/Month Pass: A pass that showcases special offers or pre-set menus at participating restaurants during a designated week or month, encouraging diners to explore new spots and support local eateries — while earning points or entering into sweepstakes giveaways.

Social Sharing

This feature allows passholders to easily share their passes via social media by generating a unique link that friends can use to sign up for their own pass. As an added incentive, pass holders can earn points when a friend signs up using their link, fostering engagement and expanding the passholder base. Currently, this feature is only available for free passes.

Quizzes

This feature allows clients to set up engaging quiz questions as part of the check-in process for a place, enhancing the passholder experience. Quizzes can include single-option or multiple-correct answers, adding a layer of interaction and fun. A secondary GPS validation method can also be enabled to ensure users are physically present at the place. The platform provides flexibility to configure the number of attempts a user gets, the time between attempts, and the points awarded for correct answers, giving full control over the difficulty and rewards structure.

QR Code Redemptions

This feature allows users to check in at a place by scanning a QR code directly from within their pass, offering a seamless and efficient validation method. It’s particularly useful in areas with unreliable GPS, for places that are close to each other, or when avoiding PIN validation due to staff turnover or concerns with training. QR codes are generated per place in the backend and are easily downloadable for use. If a user scans the QR code outside of the pass, they are redirected to a landing page that encourages them to sign up for the pass.

Excitement for the Future

Experience Builder is a major shift for Bandwango and the digital pass industry as a whole – and this is only the beginning. We’re excited to see how our partners continue to push the boundaries with Experience Builder, creating innovative digital experiences that engage and excite users.

Our current partners are encouraged to reach out to their Partner Success Specialist to get started with training and make the most of Experience Builder.
